Select Hotels Group conducts charitable activities
through Japan UNICEF Association.
The Select Hotels Group donates a portion of its sales to UNICEF.
To support children’s lives and healthy living in over 150 countries and territories,
donated money is to be spent with caution through Japan UNICEF Association for improvement in nutrition,
improved access to safe drinking water and basic sanitation, proliferation of primary education,
protection of children in difficult situations and emergency relief.

Earthquake Disaster Support
Massive earthquakes with the magnitude of 6.5 and 7.3 struck the Kumamoto region in Kumamoto Prefecture on April 14 and 16, 2016. Our ANA Crowne Plaza® Kumamoto New Sky, located in the center of Kumamoto City, was forced to suspend its operation due to the disruption of lifeline functions and partial destruction of the building. However, with the slogan “Hang in There Kumamoto, Bring a Smile Back to Kumamoto,” we completed the inspection and maintenance of the facilities and have resumed full operation. We have developed our Kumamoto Reconstruction Support project with our guests, including donating portions of the sales of our products and raising money for a Tanabata Star Festival charity.
Environmental Activities
We as the Select Hotels Group continue to run activities for environmental conservation while we are offering benefits to our guests. For example, as an ecology plan, they get discounts on the room rate if the linen changing service is not needed, and they will receive a free bottle of mineral water if they accept no changing of the sheets. Moreover, we are engaged in community activities such as our staff’s participation in volunteer cleanup.
International Exchange
When we founded our company in 2005, Indonesia, which had been hit by the 2004 Indian Ocean earthquake, was the country that made us desire to help people overseas someday. Then, when Japan was struck by the Great East Japan Earthquake in 2011, Indonesia offered Japan much support. Wanting to give back to Indonesia, we had a partnership with PT Celecton Management Indonesia, a hotel management company based in Indonesia, followed by the launching of our new brand THE CELECTON. We currently promote extensive personnel exchanges by employing Indonesian staff in Japan.
Besides, we will continue to maintain the relationship with Southeast Asia, especially Thailand and Singapore, and contribute to the development of the countries in the region.
Implement Fire Drill
Our Select Hotels Group implement the fire drill by training from each local fire station.We keep implementing this training due to saving guest’s important life and fortune.
